Contentment is one of the most potent and miss-understood tools in the arsenal of life. The definition of content is broken down into two words. First of all, content means; 1. In a state of peaceful happiness, 2. Satisfied, and 3. A place of satisfaction

But when we break the word down, it looks like this. The word con is about a belief. And tent, which is the second part of the word of content means a place of shelter or safety.

Contentment is what settles you on the inside to be able to deal with what life may bring on the outside, good or bad. When lifes issues aren’t “settled” on the inside of you, everything becomes unsettled on the outside.

Contentment is the foundation for happiness. Many people are getting rid of the “stuff” and clutter in their lives and choosing to live a minimalist lifestyle. Why? It’s not about things, it’s about life and living life with peace of mind and in the heart.

Discontentment, if not dealt with, eventually leads to the birthing of lawlessness.

Philippians 4:10-12

10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.
11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
